Phyllis Mahmud is an energetic educator who utilizes creativity, innovation, leadership, and collaboration to facilitate learning for entry level college students.
Mrs. Mahmud works in the Computer Information Systems Department of the Division of Business at Livingstone College, Salisbury, North Carolina.
She began teaching Computer Literacy in 1998. She now teaches CIS 130 - Computers in Society. This course is designed to introduce entering freshmen to computer technology and applications as they relate to academic pursuits and involves presentation graphics, using databases. Students engage in web research on topics such as environmental and ethical issues related to educational computing media.
